Handing Over the Future to Robots

This might seem like a trivial thing but I’d like to suggest otherwise: Researchers in Japan have developed a robot that beats a person in the game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” 100 percent of the time.

100 percent!

The robot does this by using technology to recognize its competitors gesture a single millisecond after the person begins to form either a rock, a piece of paper or a pair of scissors.

You might say that’s cheating. I’d say it’s the future. (A video demonstrating the technology is posted below.)
